1. Warranty Coverage
Warranty coverage applies only to manufacturing defects and faults arising from normal use of the product during the warranty period.
Warranty coverage begins from the date of delivery, installation, or commissioning, whichever occurs first.
Warranty periods may vary depending on the product supplied and shall be specified in the quotation, invoice, sales agreement, or product documentation.
2. What the Warranty Covers
Subject to inspection and verification, the warranty may cover:
- Manufacturing defects

- Faulty workmanship
- Electrical faults arising from manufacturing defects
- Mechanical faults arising from manufacturing defects
Kira Scales Limited may, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the product
- Replace defective components
- Replace the product where appropriate
3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage
- Abuse, misuse, or negligence
- Improper operation
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Tampering or physical damage
- Water, flood, or fire damage
- Lightning strikes, power surges, or electrical fluctuations
- Corrosion caused by environmental conditions
- Failure resulting from improper installation by third parties
- Damage caused by overloading equipment beyond rated capacity
- Consumable items and routine wear and tear
4. Weighbridge Warranty Limitations
For weighbridges and truck scales, warranty coverage does not include:
- Civil works, foundations, or site preparation
- Structural damage caused by excessive loading
- Damage resulting from vehicle impact
- Damage resulting from flooding or poor drainage
- Accuracy issues caused by lack of calibration
Regular calibration and maintenance remain the responsibility of the equipment owner unless covered under a separate service agreement.
5. Calibration and Accuracy
Warranty coverage does not guarantee permanent weighing accuracy.
Factors such as environmental conditions, equipment usage, overloading, mechanical stress, and lack of maintenance may affect weighing performance over time.
Periodic calibration is required to maintain accuracy.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty eligibility, customers must:
- Use equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
- Avoid overloading
- Protect equipment from abuse and damage
- Allow access for inspection when necessary
- Report faults promptly
- Follow maintenance recommendations
Failure to comply may void warranty coverage.
7. Warranty Claim Procedure
To submit a warranty claim, customers may be required to provide:
- Proof of purchase
- Invoice number
- Product serial number
- Description of the fault
- Photographs or videos where applicable
Kira Scales Limited reserves the right to inspect equipment before approving any warranty claim.
8. Service Visits
Where warranty service requires travel to customer locations:
- Site access must be provided
- Reasonable cooperation must be given
- Additional logistics costs may apply for remote locations where permitted by applicable agreements
9. Replacement Parts
Any replacement component supplied under warranty shall only be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period unless otherwise stated in writing.
10. Limitation of Liability
Kira Scales Limited shall not be liable for:
- Loss of profit, business, or contracts
- Production downtime or operational delays
- Consequential or indirect damages
The maximum liability of Kira Scales Limited shall not exceed the original purchase price of the affected product.
11. Right of Final Determination
Kira Scales Limited reserves the right to determine whether a fault is covered under warranty after inspection and evaluation. All warranty decisions made following inspection shall be final.
12. Amendments
Kira Scales Limited reserves the right to amend this Warranty Policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our products and services constitutes acceptance of the current Warranty Policy.
