Lightning strikes and power surges are among the most common causes of weighbridge breakdowns in Nigeria. A nearby strike or an unstable mains supply can destroy load cells, the junction box and the indicator in one go, leaving trucks queuing at the gate.
This kit brings together the main protection parts a weighbridge needs: proper earthing of the deck and cabin, a surge protective device on the mains supply to the indicator and PC, and surge protection on the load cell signal line. It suits new installations and older bridges that have suffered repeated damage.
Our technicians assess the site, test the earth resistance where possible and install the kit so the deck, load cells and cabin equipment share a sound earth. We can combine this with a weighbridge service or calibration visit.
