Rice Destoner Machine – 1 Tonne/Hour for Rice Milling

A rice destoner separates small stones, sand, glass and other heavy impurities from paddy or milled rice. Grain flows over an inclined vibrating screen while air is blown up through it, so the lighter rice floats off one end and the heavier stones are carried to a separate outlet.

Stones are the most common complaint about locally milled rice in Nigeria. Rice millers, parboiling clusters, cooperatives and rice packaging companies in Kebbi, Kano, Niger, Ebonyi, Benue, Ogun and other rice-producing states use destoners to produce clean, stone-free rice that competes with imported brands.
