Portable axle weighing pads are thin, rugged weighing plates placed under the wheels of a truck. Each pad measures the load on its wheel, and the indicator adds the readings to give axle loads and an estimated gross vehicle weight. The set packs into a case or trolley and can be carried in a pickup.

In Nigeria they are used by haulage and logistics companies, road and transport enforcement teams, mining and quarry operators, agricultural buyers and fleet managers who need to check axle loads at different locations or prevent overloading before trucks leave site.
