A cassava grater turns peeled cassava roots into a fine mash by pressing them against a fast-rotating drum lined with a perforated grating sheet. The grated mash is then bagged and pressed to remove water before frying into garri or processing into fufu, lafun or starch.
It is one of the most important machines for garri processors, women's cooperatives, cassava farmers and processing centres across the South-West, South-South, South-East and North-Central of Nigeria. It replaces slow manual grating and gives a more even mash.
For a full garri line, the grater works with a hydraulic or screw press, a sifter and a garri fryer. Kira Scales can also supply bagging scales and platform scales for weighing raw tubers and finished garri.
We deliver nationwide to all 36 states and the FCT. Order online or request a quote for complete garri processing sets.
